Criterion For Financial Aid |
|
All applications for financial aid are welcome including those from non-profit organizations, individuals, interest groups or other associations. The selection of aid recipients is at the sole discretion of a board of independent external advisors. Once allocated, the funds must be received directly by the intended recipient. Under no circumstances can the financial aid be redirected, funneled or distributed by an intermediary party. To be considered eligible for support, applicants must meet several criteria: - The activities of the applicant must benefit the larger community, and the applicant must be able to demonstrate this fact.
- The applicant must be working at a grassroots level. The project must be run mostly or entirely by volunteers and receive little or no funding.
- With long-term development in mind, priority is given to self-sustainable projects seeking seed capital.
