Raised in Germany and Korea, Aaron Kim attended the Klessheim Management School in Salzburg, Austria, where he received a diploma in European management. He then gained his Bachelor’s of Science and Business Administration with a major in Finance from Hawaii Pacific University. He has lived in various locations in Asia, Europe and North America and travelled extensively, always taking time to observe local societies and economies.

During his seven-year career, Kim has worked as an equity research analyst and investment advisor for industry leaders Merrill Lynch, UBSPaineWebber and UBS AG. In these roles, he developed a talent for anticipating global economic developments and their implications for the local investment environment.

Kim is a compassionate person who has benefited greatly from the rising Asian economy. As such, he gives a large part of his earnings to organizations that help the less fortunate. The desire to do more for those in need inspired him to harness his abilities and form a socially responsible hedge fund – Kairos Capital.
